O, I recall FWP having a few nice runs in that Bears game. Although I agree, the two best of that game were Mendy's 39 yarder and the screen pass where he reversed direction for a nice gain.

As for being better off without FWP, you say he hasn't looked good in 3 seasons but he was leading the NFL in rushing when he broke his leg in 2007! However, I do agree he hasn't looked like that FWP in either 2008 or this year.

Which goes to your point about this being the downhill of his career, which I've thought myself. And I think the Steelers agree which is why they haven't extended his contract. Regardless whether the team is better off without him or not, I don't think he's coming back next year.

Turf toe seemed to be a blessing. I have been talking to some of my fellow fans and they don't quite agree with me about how were better off without "Fast" Willie Parker. But his time in the sun is over. Mendy runs the ball like a Steelers running back. No toe tapping for this guy. He hits the hole with patience and explosiveness that I have not seen for three seasons. Even if FWP is better and able to go this week I hope he stays on the sideline. Mendy was the only back against the Bears that made a difference and they went away from him and we all know the outcome of that one. I hope Tomlin and the gang realize this and stay with Mendy. I believe that last week was his breakout game and the best has yet to come.

Yeah, James Harrison is finally playing like the DPOY again. Although Mister Woodley is still MIA. The defense looked good for 3/4 of the game. It's just really disturbing to see a team go right down the field on 3 plays.

I loved the way Mendy ran. I'll admit, I'm one of those guys who still whines about "Classic Steeler Football." I'm perfectly happy to watch Ben chuck 30 passes every game but nothing beats watching a RB blow through the line and then lower his shoulder into a poor little DB.

I had a good time watching this one. I still think we cant defend a no huddle without troy p, but still, looked great offensively.

Hopefully Mendy continues playing like a meast, and all goes well.

A couple stupid blunders made the game closer than need be, but the pass rush was improved, the offense looked like a fantasy team, and I loved it.
