In fact, if I had my life savings bet on a game and I needed a TD in the final 2 minutes to win, I'd want Ben to be at QB because he's super-clutch. However, expecting him to be pinpoint accurate from pass #1 to pass #40 isn't realistic. I'm not saying he's not an excellent QB but he can't do it all by himself. And a big part of that is giving him a running game to take some of the pressure off. Unfortunately, I don't think Arians gets this. Ben is excellent at game winning drives. If Rashard is given the carries he'll have no problems carrying the load. He's young big and strong. Ben is excellent at game winning drives(except sunday) but he shouldn't have to do it week in and out. Put the ball on the ground once we are ahead and eat up some of that clock. You make a great point about Arians going away from what's working. The people who say we're not a running team anymore ignore the fact a lot of times we never even give the running game a chance. I can think of at least 3 games where Mendenhall was doing a nice job churning out yards and yet Arians just ignored it in favor of more passes. I share your frustration with our offense. Thanks, O. Bruce Arians' head should now officially be on the chopping block. Rashard has come up big time for us and was making this offence so balanced it looked unstoppable. There has been numerous times this year that Bruce has gone away from what was working and done his own thing which does not work. Rashard is a beast to the right of the feild. Run him to the right, then play action to the left over the top to Wallace. Run first is what I am trying to get at. Like you said 46-18 pass to run. I am beside myself. Nice post Chris.
