I understand the Steelers sex craved, compulsive, idiotic QB has his rights not to talk. But still the process will be long and arduouse. Please Rooneys...SIT HIM DOWN! Move towards a team that is'nt waiting on indictments and trial dates to establish the opening day roster. Move quickly and decisevly. As far as Batch.....well lets say I was'nt all that surprised. No off-field conduct issues for a third string left out almost made sense. And Dixon is still young. I would'nt mind giving the kid a shot, but Bulger could bring that "spark" sooner than later......So while Ben sits in the corner reflecting on the money he'll lose, and the respect lost by all the Steeler faithful in him and the orginization, lets move forward with Ben on the outside looking in. I've never seen Bulger on TMZ. And I'll take 8-8 over Ben at this point. Its time character and morality was rewarded and devience punished. I think Dixon would actually be able to do well... He showed some fairly decent play in his first game... I mean, playing against the Ravens' D isn't exactly easy, nor do we win in Baltimore often. I think we would finish at least 9-7 with Dixon and our defense up to it's normal strength. We had a good secondary then (but the Rams had great receivers).... Yea that was then and this is now, but not only is Bulger a smart student of the game, he is a seasoned experienced QB who has little difficulty reading defenses, and he would have a nice group of receivers to work with. I think on a good team, he could have a career resurgence ala Kurt Warner in Phoenix. Plus he's a Pittsburgh guy so that's a big plus.
