@craig.gottschalk Yeah, I didn't say every game would be in Miami. Half the games while he played in MN were in the dome, that didn't seem to help. That being said, the Dolphins don't have to play in Chicago, GB, Detroit and elsewhere in the frigid north. So it WILL be better in Miami.

On Ike, I think you're right, the market was not good for Ike because of all the other CB free agents. That being said, if the Steelers didn't want to spent $28M on Ike, they wouldn't have spent $28M on Ike. They need him and they know it. They just got lucky they didn't have to offer more.

And for the record - Favre could do well in Miami until December and January. Not every game is played in Miami and, even if the Dolphins were playoff bound, they are coming in as a wild card, which means no fun in the warm sun of South Beach.

I don't know, Adam. We don't know how much the Steelers actually pursued Ike. Rumor has it that he did test the market and didn't get many bites back. I don't really think he took the best deal possible either. There was too much movement in corner this year in FA and that could have unsettled the veteran enough to easily return to the Steelers.

I'll concede that the Steelers truly wanted Ike back. But I don't believe nor will I ever until someone from that organization says so that they went after Ike aggressively. So I don't know if 'there was no way the Steelers would let Ike go.'
