Hope and the Hopeless in the NFL
The bottom of the barrel in the National Football League is quite ugly and it may get even uglier while the top has some promising commodities that may not be going away any time soon. The St. Louis Rams have taken an undeniable step back after looking like a team of the future last year. The Rams lost their first 6 games and failed to get the money as well in all 6 of their sports betting matchups. Sam Bradford is struggling but the entire team has simply regressed. Coach Steve Spagnuolo is beginning to feel the heat and the [...]
Mike Wallace was once considered a one trick pony – by his own coach even. But, this season he has become much more than that. He’s learning to run more complicated routes, read defenses and make adjustments. He’s not just about the deep ball but can now make a 10-15 yard catch and run for 30-40 more with his speed. However, guys like Peter King from SI.com feel that a ‘big game’ raining with deep balls and TD’s is just on the horizon.
I know that all of you are stoked on Sunday’s game between the Steelers and the Patriots. Fair enough, this is a tremendous A.F.C. rivalry and the game will most likely end up in an exciting shootout in my expert opinion. As excited as I am for the game on Sunday, there is a game being played today that I will be watching with great interest and a close eye as well. Why you may ask? Well there is a guy playing in the Arizona vs. Washington game which I believe that the Steelers should (and likely will) be targeting [...]
Every week, I will be contacting the editor of the FanSided team blog the Steelers are playing that Sunday. This week I wrote five questions to Jaime Pacheco, editor of the Pats blog Musket Fire. Check out what he has to say after the jump, and be sure to visit his site and let him know what you think about what he has to say.
Nation, check out the link below. Received an email of this trailer today made by Benstonium. It’s pretty awesome in general and even better if you are a Saw or horror film junkie. Just in time for Halloween. Enjoy! Steeler vs. Patriots Trailer
Are the Steelers a Good Team?
Here we are, sitting at 5-2 looking at a stretch of games that would make even the most confident person queasy. That’s right, it’s Patriots week, which means it’s time to put up or shut up. No one walks around talking about “not in this lifetime” when they talk about the Patriots beating the Steelers, except Anthony Smith of course (who?), mostly because the Steelers have really only beat the Patriots a couple of times in a while. One of those times was while Matt Cassel (who?) was behind center, and the other was to snap a long Patriots winning [...]
The Key to the Steelers Beating the Patriots
The Steelers disposed of the Cardinals rather handily on Sunday, and now their focus is on Brady and the Pats. If you read Todd’s article about the matchups and breakdowns, you’ll get a pretty good sense where this game might end up. One question still remains – what’s the one key that will allow the Steelers to beat the Patriots this Sunday?
Another fine win over a bad team is in the books. Now comes the real challenge. The next three games promise to define the season for the defending AFC Champions. And up first, Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. These guys have absolutely owned the Steelers while Brady has been playing in Foxboro.
