Steelers Injury Report: With ‘Report-like’ symptoms

AUTHOR: | IN: Steelers | COMMENTS: 1 Comment

While writing this post, I may have sustained carpal tunnel like symptoms and needed to pause several times before completing the post.  At times, I may have displayed hunger pains and worked very closely with my wife to formulate some sort of dinner making strategy to alleviate those pains as quickly as possible.  My tendencies to make fun of the Ratbirds will be monitored all week, but more than likely is untreatable.

The Steelers vs. Bengals Rivalry: “Kimo’s Shot Heard ‘Round the World” and its Aftermath

AUTHOR: | IN: Steelers | COMMENTS: 5 Comments

Two weeks ago I discussed a game that changed the face of the Steelers vs. Bengals series forever and helped to kick-start a 20 year run of Pittsburgh essentially “owning” Cincinnati.  Yet over the last 20 years, there had to have been a game/era where Cincinnati appeared to have closed the gap in the rivalry right?  Indeed. That’s right folks, I’ll be doing a discussion about the 2005/2006 A.F.C. Wild Card Game that saw the Steelers and Bengals duke it out at Paul Brown Stadium.  So today I not only want to do my normal discussion of the game itself [...]

Mike Tomlin Press Conference – Week 13 – Bengals

AUTHOR: | IN: Steelers | COMMENTS: None Yet

Tomlin wanted to start by making an assessment of last weeks game. Basically, Tomlin says what we’ve probably all been thinking: That was ugly. He points out that on 3rd downs we were particularly bad, maybe the worst of the season, and we had lots of trouble getting seven points once getting in to the end zone. Tomlin did say that there are some positives to take away from the game, that young guys like Wesyle Saunders and Antonio Brown are stepping up and playing great football.

What Is The Steelers’ Weakest Link?

AUTHOR: | IN: Steelers | COMMENTS: None Yet

As much as I would like to be gracious of a Steelers win on Sunday night, there is something disturbing about that win.  It was sloppy, but was it all really due to having the bye week prior?  There’s got to be a weak link somewhere worth pointing out.  Eventually something like that will come back to bite us in the rear.

Steelers Barely Beat Chiefs on SNF: The Good, The Bad, The Ugly

AUTHOR: | IN: Steelers | COMMENTS: 3 Comments

Even though it wasn’t a blow out, it was certainly one of the uglier games on Sunday Night Football this season.  The Steelers squeaked one out against the Chiefs in an emotionally charged game for both sides.  The pre-game warmups featured a scuffle between the two teams, and that filtered its way into the game.  The Steelers are keeping pace with Baltimore for the lead of the AFC North, but they aren’t making it look easy.  Now for the good, the bad and the ugly of last night’s game.

Every week, I will be contacting the editor of the FanSided team blog the Steelers are playing that Sunday.  This week I wrote five questions to Patrick Allen, editor of the Chiefs blog Arrowhead Addict.  Check out what he has to say after the jump, and be sure to visit his site and let him know what you think about what he has to say.

Heath Miller Could/Should Have a Big Day for the Steelers Tomorrow

AUTHOR: | IN: Steelers | COMMENTS: None Yet

With their win against the vastly overrated 49ers, the Ravens have now leap-frogged the Steelers in their race for 1st Place in the A.F.C. North.  Essentially, until Baltimore screws up in a trap-game (who knows, they’ve done it twice this season), the tie-breaker still lies with them.  Thus, the Steelers must keep winning every game until the Ravens (eventually and hopefully) screw themselves.  But enough about Baltimore, let’s talk about tomorrow’s game between the Steelers and the Chiefs. Despite Kansas City’s effort to try and shore up their QB situation with Kyle Orton earlier in the week, many are still [...]

What Are Steelers Chances of Winning AFC North?

AUTHOR: | IN: Steelers | COMMENTS: None Yet

The 49′ers lost a hard one to the Ravens last night.  The Ravens showed poise and tough defense throughout the whole game.  The crappy chop call against the 49′ers on a touchdown ended up being a call that burned the 49′ers down the stretch.  But it’s not like the 49′ers deserved to win – getting sacked 9 times in one game pretty much will kill ya.
