AFC/NFC Championship Games: Who’s In?

Yesterday afternoon was probably one of the most exciting football games you are ever going to see for quite some time.  The comeback by the Saints was one thing, the final four minutes of the game was on a completely different level.  You knew that the Patriots v Broncos game was going to be a bit of a let down (and boy was it ever) after watching the Niners and Saints torch the score board.  Can’t remember who, but someone tweeted during those final four minutes something along the lines of ‘Tebow could be running on the field in a tutu, drinking whisky and yelling obscenities over in New England right now and no one would notice.’

And hey, maybe that’s what he should have done – could have confused the Pats defense.  Or maybe that’s what he actually did in his pre-game and the holy football spirit decided to leave him cold, aloof and proving to most of the world that even though he may be an awesome person he’s a pretty shitty quarterback.  Which that just kind of boils the blood a bit more that one of the worst passing defenses in the league shut made Tebow Time look like Tea Time for the Pats.  Wonder what Elway will do now with this kid?

Well at any rate, half the picture of the AFC and NFC Championship games are filled in.  The other half is determined today.  How’s everyone feeling about these games?  Do the Texans slam the door shut for the Ravens? – God I hope so.  Will Flacco finally manage a game through a full 60 minutes without self imploding?  Will the Packers continue their run for a second title in a row or will the Giants ‘show up’ for two weeks in a row and make Joe Buck vehemently yell ‘There will be a new SB champion this year.’?
