Todd Haley recently interviewed with the Steelers for the offensive coordinator position left open by Bruce Arians’ departure. What are Haley’s chances of taking over the play calling for the Black & Gold offense? Seemed like he was in a bit over his head while in KC. As was pointed out in D-Buzz’s post earlier today, Charlie Weiss was the OC when KC made it to the playoffs. So how much does Haley really know what he’s doing? Those who know the Chiefs well will complain that Haley was terrible in his play calling – run, run, pass all day long. That’s something that won’t sit well with most of Steelers Nation because telegraphing the pass is something that never works out for this offense – mainly because the pass blocking is pretty awful. Tapping Haley for the job is a risk in my opinions, but he may be able to sweet talk his way into the role if he can tell Rooney and Tomlin all the right things. What’s the rest of Steelers Nation think?
