Steelers Reportedly Set To Hire Todd Haley As Next Offensive Coordinator

ESPN’s Chris Mortensen has since confirmed a tweet regarding the offer to Haley, and Adam Schefter said the Steelers “plan to hire” Haley.  Steelers have yet to confirm this.

We’ll get more in depth on this as the week goes on, but I hope that Haley is a better OC than he is head coach.  This man saw his team implode this past season after making it to the playoffs the year prior.  He was a big part of that implosion – lack of discipline, lack of control, lack of leadership.  Word is spreading that Tomlin also spoke with former Raiders head coach, Hue Jackson before offering the spot to Haley.

Details are sure to emerge.  Nation – thoughts on the Haley joining this squad as OC?

    It’ll be nice to see something new being brought to the table, but I’m a little worried that if something goes wrong, Haley’s attitude and ego will get the best of him… Let’s just hope Tomlin keeps him in check.

    It was on the NFL website earlier this morning and now it’s not. This is disturbing.

    and now it’s back. Here I thought the off season was going to be boring.

    Well, he probably can’t be worse than Arians…at least, I hope he can’t. Not that excited about this, though.

    No sir. I don’t like it. I’m having a hard time believing that this guy wont clash with somebody on the team. I can already see him screaming on the sideline at Sean Kugler or Big Ben for something that didn’t happen “perfectly” … Not excited … I hope it’s a case of bad reporting … and that this didn’t really just happen …

    Maybe he’s just a placeholder until Kirby gets better…..

    @MarkArmor

    I was thinking that myself. A season or maybe two and then coach Wilson is back.
