I think they should of signed Both NOW. If someone is going to go after Wallace and he signs the offer sheet he wants to leave. So take the first rounder.
I'd sign Bell or Tony Pashos as a veteran backup Now they can release Jonathan Scott and Jerricho Cotchery now because his price tag will only go up and he can battle for the #3 spot. IF they actually start signing some people Wallace might decide to take the deal The Steelers have offered but by The Steelers doing nothing he thinks he has the leverage.
Someone mentioned that the Steelers should sign RFA LArry Grant ILB tendered a 7th. I agree they should sign him and allow him to compete for the position at worst he's a good special teams player and quality backup. It would also allow you to release Larry Foote.

@MarkArmor Justify letting Hines go? How about his age & health. I love Hines but he just didn't have it anymore and teams were ringing his bell. I'm so happy he retired a Steelers.

@MarkArmor Actually, Sanders performed pretty well in the slot in 2010 when he was given the chance, and he also did a fine job working there at S.M.U.. His biggest obstacle has been staying healthy over the last couple years though, which is the reason why the Steelers brought Cotchery in last season. I do see Jerricho coming back if the Pittsburgh wants insurance for Sanders and/or they can get him relatively cheap. Having both on the field in 4 Wide sets to work the middle would be good in 3rd and 3-7 situations.

The only reason I could justify letting Hines go was if Cotchery was here to take his role. We NEED to sign JC. Sanders is great, but not a slot kind of guy.
