Lightning-quick Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu surprised his team when he showed up to the Steelers OTA’s last Tuesday. For the All-Pro DB to show up to these voluntary workouts shows just how dedicated he is to his team. However, during an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, he stated that he thinks about retirement “all the time.”
“People have asked me how many years do you think you can play?” said Polamalu “My reaction is always, when you live day to day, It’s hard to talk years. It’s always been my mantra in life, whether it was my first year as a rookie or year 10, I just live day to day.”
Regardless of what’s going on in his head, Polamalu has shown that he is committed to playing for his team this season, which should be a relief for Steelers fans everywhere.
