I was @ the 1994/5 AFC Championship game. And I agree you Dominic, it still creates a "sickening feeling" when I think about it these 18 YEARS later! I was "Physically Ill" on the long, painful drive Home to Columbus, Ohio. And it took Two Weeks for it to fully subside. It wasn't my disappointment that was so hard to deal with. But rather the thoughts of what Rod Woodson would have done to Jerry Rice, & what Steelers Linebackers ("Quiver & Quake) Greg Lloyd & Kevin Greene would have done to 49'ers Quarterback Steve Young, that was SO hard to deal with!
Although the Team did find Redemption in DEFEATING The Colts in the 1995/6 AFC Championship Game. It was this Year's squad that was DESERVED of Winning It All!
When people say to me, "Well you got your butts kicked by The Cowboys in Super Bowl XXX"... I USUALLY respond with, "If the MOB hadn't threatened the Life of Neil O'Donnell's Mother, The Steelers WOULD have CRUSHED The Cowboys in that Super Bowl!"
Why else did he receive that BIG Pay Day from The Jets the following Off Season (5 Years & $25+ Million Dollars), then NOT play more than ONE Season of that Contract?!
