@craig.nicepickcowher Agree with you Craig on the Tight End matter. They already have Pope, and the extra spot can be used on an effective player like Johnson who does two very important things that Pittsburgh is improving on but still needs work: Defend the Pas in sub-packages and play Special Teams well.

@RickHarmon Well I guess there’s only room for one 6’8″ TE – and that now belongs to Leonard Pope (thus are the ways when getting a new OC). I think with Miller and Pope, the team feels they are set at TE and in the Red Zone for that position. With Johnson moving to FB, there is a need for a backup #3 TE. I think the Steelers want to take a chance with their rookie, Paulson, or stick with Saunders when he returns from his suspension. Wes really couldn’t play special teams either – I don’t think he was good with pursuit and tackling. Hope he lands on a team where he will be of use.

Dude is 6’8…OK his not 300 pounds like Eric Green was but the kid has nice hands..and for a team that was Awful in the red zone and having A QB thats been openly bidding for a WR over 6’2 since Place left I don’t know how they keep cutting this Guy..Six Foot Eight!! There’s gota be a package for that..I don’t think Paulson will be any better #Baffled
