A quarter of the 2012-13 NFL season is in the books and we finally have the regular officials back in action.  The outcomes are a little more predictable now without the erraticness of the replacement refs.  Still at Week 5 there are some surprises.  Arizona being unbeaten in October was very unlikely and I, for one, am still not sold on them.  I think they’ve won too many coin flip games to be taken too seriously and their defense has been carrying them so far.  A team that hasn’t yet gotten to 300 yards of offense in any game after a month in might not be able to last the duration of the season.  Of course that’s just my opinion.  As always we encourage our readers to play along with our picks, or heckle them if that tickles your fancy.  The Steelers face a very tough test of the defense this week with an Eagles team coming to town that is quite possibly outside of the Vikings, one of the most surprising 3-1 teams considering how badly they’ve played.  As always, anything can happen on an NFL Sunday.  Congrats to one of our staff newbies, Lori, who won outright last week with 12 games.  Here are the overall standings and this week’s picks:
