Nearly Healthy Steelers Looking To Take Bite Out of Eagles

This week the Steelers are hoping to rally from a productive bye week. And by productive, I mean most of the team getting healthy. As the final injury reports were listed on Friday, not one Steeler (aside from our friends on the IR) was listed as ‘Out’ or even ‘Doubtful’.

And no one appears hungrier for a win than Steelers wide out, Antonio Brown. When talking about Sunday’s game against the Eagles, Brown said that he and the other receivers plan to key on the Eagles’ nickel cornerback, rookie Brandon Boykin. Calling Boykin a ‘candy bar’ and specifically a ‘Snickers’, Brown points out that Boykin is a sweet treat for offenses so far this season. Hopefully, the entire offense can satisfy the hunger of the coaches and fans with a W this weekend (quit your groanin’ it’s the end of the week!).

I’m not sure what the players have been eating this week while they’ve been off, but they are almost at full strength for the first time since the second week…. of preseason. Only Harrison, Polamu, Mendenall, and Gilbert were listed as probable. David DeCastro is still on the short IR but reports have been saying he is showing no signs of a limp or anything tipping off that he is behind on his recovery from his knee injury.

It’s been a while since the team has been this ‘healthy’. We really ever get to see that, and there are sure to be a few bumps and bruises on Sunday. And, while the team has had it’s struggles thus far, their best chance to beat the Eagles (or any other team for that matter) is being healthy and fully loaded, and hungry. Chomp chomp. Nom nom nom.
