Nice Pick Cowher’s Week 8 NFL Picks

Think you can pick winners better than the NPC staff?

Can you believe we’re almost at the half-way point of the 2012?  Yeah, I’d like it to slow down too.  This week Steeler Nation gets a crack at RG3.  Dick LeBeau has a track record of shutting down rookie quarterbacks but if you ask anyone else, RG3 is the friggin second coming.  My feeling is this guy is getting too much praise.  Sure he’s got an amazing completion percentage for a rookie QB and has Vick-like rushing yards, but I’m thinking he’s due for a stinker.  Even when he losses, they can’t stop talking about how great he is in the national sports media.  Seems to me like he’s ripe for a horrible game wracked with turnovers and poor “rookie mistakes.”  It’s bound to happen to him, why not this week in the Steel City?  Lori and I tied for the win last week, only missing 1 game apiece.  Yours truly also is now in sole possession of the overall lead for the season.  I can see my name on that imaginary trophy now.  As always, the Nice Pick Cowher staff encourages you to pick games along with us in the comments section, or tell us how horrible you think our picks are.  Here are the overall standings and this week’s slate of games:
