It’s a lengthy list for the Ravens and comes as no surprise considering the point in the season we are at.  The big notables for the Ravens is corner Jimmy Smith being listed as ‘out,’ Pernell McPhee as ‘doubtful,’ and backup nose tackle Terrence Cody as ‘questionable.’  McPhee is coming back from a right thigh and knee injury and the Baltimore Sun is reporting that he is a long shot to play this weekend despite feeling 100% recovered from his injury.  Terrence Cody, who’s had significant playing time at the NT position is questionable and is hampered by arm injury.  These injuries certainly favor the Steelers on the offensive side of the ball as the Steelers are desperate to help out a non elusive Byron Leftwich in the pocket.

It pains me to see Big Ben on this list in general, and it hurts even more to see that ‘out’ next to his name.  Polamalu, Gilbert and Brown are also out.  Sylvester’s been upgraded to questionable, but don’t plan on him making any appearances this weekend.  The Steelers signed Marshall McFadden from the practice squad after shelving Cris Carter for the season.  Ryan Clark, easily the Steelers defensive player of the year thus far, will more than likely return after sustaining his second concussion of the season.  It’s going to be a rough go for the Steelers with Ben, Gilbert and Brown out.  The team seems to have found a defensive rhythm without Polamalu, but it sure would be great to see that hair running around on the field.
