While Flacco has yet to prove that he is an elite quarterback in the NFL, he sure is elite when it comes to saying really stupid shit infront of the media that represents the entire globe. When asked about what he though of next year’s Super Bowl being in a cold weather stadium, Flacco said,
Yeah, I think it’s retarded. I probably shouldn’t say that. I think it’s stupid. If you want a Super Bowl, put a retractable dome on your stadium. Then you can get one. Other than that I don’t really like the idea. I don’t think people would react very well to it, or be glad to play anybody in that kind of weather.
Well, Bert…. I and the rest of the world thank you on showing us how your brain processes feelings. Nothing like being a bro out there, eh? Well that’s the risk you take when you put almost every player on the podium during Super Bowl media days.
Part of playing football is having to deal with the elements, you jag. If you can’t handle it, go join the Arena League. Outdoor Super Bowls will be tested and will likely stay as a part of the game for years to come. It’s not like Joe Joe’s going to get there again anytime soon anyways. Maybe teams in the Super Bowl should think about prepping their players on things that are acceptable to say infront of a global media and things that are not. ‘Honor’ = Good. ‘Retarded’ = Bad. ‘Physical’ = Good. ‘Stab that fu*#$&!’ = Bad.
I guess it’s time to go, I hear that Ray Lewis is finally finishing up his hour long interview. Spolier: He doesn’t cry at the podium….. yet.
