The NFL released the preseason schedule on Thursday, and the Steelers face three out of four teams they faced last season.  While the preseason can be meaningless for most teams as far as what team they face and when, it is always the best way for coaches to evaluate the progress of their up and coming starters as well as find any hidden gems who might have been in the shadows during training camp.  This camp and preseason seem pretty significant this time around considering all the holes in the dam the team needs to plug this year.

The NFL will announce the 2013 regular season on April 16th, a little over a week ahead of the NFL Draft, set to start Thursday, April 25th.

I find it strange that the Steelers face the Giants, Redskins, and Chiefs again after just facing those teams last season.  But, like I said, who they face doesn’t matter as much as how the rotations play out.
