NPC’s Week 1 NFL Picks

Think you can pick winners better than the NPC staff?
Is it Week 1 already? You bet your ass it is! Welcome to the NFL regular season! Here at Nice Pick Cowher, we are a not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly, but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just pride) where our mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.
This week starts off with a doozy. A Thursday night rematch of the AFC Divisional Championship between the now Super Bowl Champion Baltimore Ravens (ick) and the Denver Broncos. There are some divisional games already this week with New England traveling to Buffalo, Minnesota at Detroit, Arizona at St. Louis, and Atlanta going into New Orleans. Not to mention the NFC East all play each other with the Giants going into Dallas (where they are 4-0 in Jerry’s World) and the Eagles taking on the Redskins on Monday Night Football. Plenty to feast on this NFL kickoff weekend.
As far as your Pittsburgh Steelers, they will take on the Tennessee Titans at home where we will get to see if the preseason was just a series of bad adjustments they have corrected, or if this is going to be a long and painful season for all of us. Honestly, I think the Steelers can go either way this year. Until we see them in the regular season with all their working parts active and healthy there’s just no way to know how this is going to go.
