It’s finally the weekend Steeler Nation and the Steelers are doing what they can to avoid going 0-3. Here’s what’s being said about your Pittsburgh Steelers around the block.

Miller listed as probable for Bears game

While he may not come out of a phone booth with a cape on, Steelers TE Heath Miller will be coming out of the locker room on Sunday night with this uniform on ready to play. Heath spoke to Teresa Varley of the Steelers website on Friday afternoon following practice and said that he wasn’t feeling any discomfort following his first full week of practice since December.

"“I am excited. It’s been a long time sitting and watching. I am closer to the end now. It’s the hardest part figuring out when you are ready to go. I know it’s sooner rather than later.” – Heath Miller"

The Steelers haven’t officially determined that Miller will play Sunday night, but all signs are pointing to it.

Breakdown of Steelers vs. Bears

ESPN’s NFL Live crew broke down the Steelers vs. Bears matchup. Each guy on the panel had their own tasty nugget of why the Steelers are going to blow it on Sunday night. Mark Schlereth said that it’s the Steelers defense that will have the most trouble going up against Bears QB Jay Cutler and his receivers. Darren Woodson thinks it will be the Steelers woes on offense that will do them in. He called out the fact that the Steelers don’t seem to have a #1 WR emerging in the roster right now while Trey Wingo thinks it’s the rushing game that’s the worst. Wingo points out that the Steelers as a team have less rushing yards so far this season than Colt’s QB Andrew Luck does on his own.

Steelers notebook

Mark Kaboly of the Trib reminds us that Heath Miller isn’t the only Steeler returning to practice from injury this week. Rookie RB Le’Veon Bell practiced this week for the first time in a month. Like Miller, Bell didn’t experience any discomfort with his injury following the week of reps.

"“I was moving well (Friday). I felt real confident in myself (Friday). I am continuing to progress and get my feet wet and get used to myself again, but I felt good.” – Le’Veon Bell"

I wonder if he’s allowed to wear the cape?
