NPC’s Week 6 NFL Picks

Think you can pick winners better than the NPC staff?
We’ve reached Week 6 in the NFL regular season. Here at Nice Pick Cowher, we are not only a bunch of nerds who follow the Pittsburgh Steelers tirelessly, but we are also a bunch of nerds who follow the NFL tirelessly. Therefore we put our money (or maybe just pride) where are mouths are and make picks on every NFL game each week. We don’t mess around with point spreads or anything like that. Just straight up picks.
The Steelers return from their bye week still in search of their first win of the season. I plan to dance an Irish gig when I can finally no longer write anything regarding the Steelers being winless. Hopefully I’ll need my dancing shoes this week. The Steelers travel to New Jersey to take on the Jets who are fresh off of an upset victory against the Falcons on Monday night. Can Geno Smith deliver the ball into the hands of a Steelers defensemen like so many rookie quarterbacks have done before? I sure hope so. It will be interesting to see if the Denver Broncos can actually match or beat the 28 points spread they are currently favored over the lowly Jacksonville Jaguars.
Congrats to Jim for the win last week. Jim and I are currently tied for the overall lead and I have vowed to curse all of his picks that are different than mine. So basically I’ll be rooting against the Ravens and for the Steelers. Familiar territory, I think I’ll do just fine. Our reader participant, Jenn, apparently took a bye last week and no one else stepped up to challenge her.

We’ll see if I can come out ahead of Jim this week or if there will be a new overall leader come Tuesday morning. Make some picks or root for your favorite NPC staffer! Here we go Steelers!
