Dec 2, 2012; Baltimore, MD, USA; Baltimore Ravens tight end Dennis Pitta (88) catches a first down pass in the third quarter before being tackled by Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark (25) and cornerback Curtis Brown (31) at M

90 minutes prior to kickoff, the Steelers and Raiders inactives were announced. There weren’t many surprises as it seems to be the same group of guys as most weeks, other than those injured.

Steelers:

 QB Landry Jones

 WR Markus Wheaton

TE Richard Gordon

NT Hebron Fangupo

CB Curtis Brown

LB: Chris Carter

LB: Kion Wilson

Raiders:

S Tyvon Branch

T Menelik Watson

C Andre Gurode

T Tony Pashos

LB Martez Wilson

DE Ryan Robinson

WR Juron Criner

Analysis:

It appears that Curtis Brown’s special team play is still below the line since fellow special teams player Antwon Blake received a hat instead of Brown. Chris Carter’s days appear to be over as a Steeler since he doesn’t seem to have a spot on the team. Speaking of outside linebackers, Jarvis Jones is back from his concussion, and it appears he will be starting, since Jason Worilds did nothing in his absence to show that he should be the starter. Kion Wilson joined the team after Isaac Redman was cut and it appears that the Steelers preferred having Blake instead of Wilson mainly because of special teams play.

It is also important to note that the Steelers will be dressing eight offensive lineman once again. This may be because they do not have enough confidence in the health of Marcus Gilbert.
