The Bad

Shaun Suisham: Suisham has pretty much been the team MVP all season long.  The dude has been money and automatic without almost a second thought on if he is going to make his next attempt.  Sushi made his first field goal early in the second quarter to close the gap and brought the score to 14-3.  However, Suisham missed his next two field goals, which were essentially chip shots when it comes to Suisham and his accuracy.  Whether it was the mojo of the Black Hole or the fact that place holder and JV kicker, Zoltan Mesko, screwed up at least the second hold, the misses ended up being the difference in the game as the Steelers lost by 3 when time ran out.  My hope is that these misses don’t go to Suisham’s head, and we start seeing inconsistency in his kicks.

Drop and Offense Miscues:  I lost count of the drops after the third quarter, but Heath had at least two.  Antonio Brown added a few more of his own, and the frustrations continue to mount for Steeler Nation and this offense getting their crap together.  Emanuel Sanders added salt to the wound with two offensive penalties – one a false start, the other an offensive pass interference.  That’s four penalties in three games for Sanders.  To top it off, Sanders and Ben Rothelisberger continue to fail staying on the same page.  They may hook up for a touchdown from time to time, like they did today, but there were several routes run with throws that had many of us saying, ‘What they hell was that?’

*Honorable mention:  The Steelers were 2-0 when then oversized duck was in the Allegheny River.  They are now 0-1 with the duck gone.  Bring the duck back.
