1. I’m an Arizona alum and saw every one of Rob Gronkowski’s college games. With that in mind, much longer do you think it will take before we start to see “The Gronk” of old?
Although Gronk hasn’t played like he used to yet, I don’t suspect it will be long before he returns to his previous dominance. Even in the few games he’s played so far he has been an impact player. The tough task for him is to not only deal with the injury recovery and adjust his play to that and the cast on his arm, but also the new offense. He didn’t get to partake in the preseason so he has been on catch-up since his return. Obviously his practicing most weeks even without playing has helped, but the loss of Aaron Hernandez may have a bigger impact on his play than his injury. With the two-TE sets the Patriots ran, defenses were unable to cover both and had to gamble on where Brady would put the ball. Now that he is the only true pass-catching TE on the Patriots, the plays are a little more predictable and he can be double-teamed. That being said, I don’t think his injuries have slowed him much since his return.
