Whatever you do – don’t let go of that ankle!

The ‘I Still Can’t Tackle’ Award:  CB  William Gay.  He can change his first name to as many things as he wants to, but there are a couple of things that will never change – can’t cover, can’t tackle.  Gay is superbly consistent about being inconsistent with how well (or not) he covers and how well (or not) he bring down the ball carrier.  After a slight uptick near the beginning of the season, Gay has quickly devolved back to his former can’t-quite-tackle self.  He looked pretty bad against the Vikings and Oakland and was laughable in Foxboro against the Pats.  It’s rather unfortunate because after losing Keenan Lewis to free agency and Cortez Allen having a slump after stepping up last season, Gay is the next man up who just doesn’t have the chops to be a #1 or #2 corner.  Keep tryin’ Willie, keep tryin’. Honorable Mention: Ryan Clark

Most Times Appearing On A Transaction List: CB Isaiah Green.  Green has been signed and released more times than Tom Brady openly cries in public.  Here is his transaction history.  Oh by the way – he’s only 24 and only in his second year in the league… originally signed by the Bills as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 31, 2012, released by the Bills on August 31, 2012, added to the Bills’ practice squad on September 2, 2012, released from the Bills’ practice squad on October 2, 2012, added to the Colts’ practice squad on October 9, 2012, released from the Colts’ practice squad on December 4, 2012, signed to the Steelers’ practice squad on December 12, 2012, signed a Reserve/Future contract with the Steelers on January 2, 2013, released from Steelers on September 2, 2013, signed to Steelers’ practice squad on September 4, 2013, activated from the practice squad on September 17, 2013, cut from the Steelers on October 2, 2013, signed to Steelers’ practice squad on October 5, 2013, activated on October 15, 2013, cut from the Steelers on November 5, 2013, and finally signed on again to the practice squad on November 7, 2013.  His agent must be weeping in a corner somewhere.  Honorable Mention: Kion Wilson

Biggest Move By Coach:  Head Coach Mike Tomlin – Table games.  Usually coaching moves get big notice and big props when they happen in-game – a 4th and 1 call that gets the first down at a critical moment in the game, or an on-sides kick unexpectedly during the Super Bowl, or putting in a player that will make the big play at the right time.  Those are big time coaching moments that either make legends or break mere men.  Since Tomlin can’t really coach a team during the actual game, his award is an off the field award that occurred when he decided to take his winless football team’s table games away from the locker room.  The result the next Sunday – their first win.  Despite heavy criticism and jokes galore during the week Tomlin made the decision, he touted his obvious football coaching genius with a win.  :slow clap:
