As crazy as it sounds, the Pittsburgh Steelers lost another offensive lineman before he could even suit up in a regular season game this year.

Offensive tackle Levi Brown was sidelined with a torn triceps back in October after the team acquired him from Arizona, and newly acquired offensive tackle Rashad Butler is apparently leaving the team due to personal reason according to the team’s official website.

The 30 year-old offensive tackle was just signed by the team on Saturday to add some depth to Pittsburgh’s already hobbled and maligned unit. Due to the fact that both Kelvin Beachum and Mike Adams left Thursday night’s game early, the Steelers were in need of some insurance at both tackle positions.

Unfortunately for the franchise, Butler leaving could force them to sign another veteran free agent or promote Joe Long from the practice squad for depth purposes. With a spot on their 53-man roster open however, it would not hurt the Steelers to add another offensive lineman so they can limp their way through the rest of this dreadful season.
