Pittsburgh Steelers Ben Roethlisberger may take some hard hits on the football field.  But, he also takes some shots from the sports media and other forums due to his not so clean past and his ‘rough around the edges’ nature.  Most of the time it’s all in good fun – even when profootballmock.com takes aim in their very funny NFL QB’s on Facebook series.

The latest poking is happening over on one of FanSided’s sister sites, LightlyBuzzed.  Roethlisberger isn’t the only one involved.  LightlyBuzzed has just released an entire list and accompanying cartoons that peg NFL Players as Game of Thrones characters.  It’s a pretty incredible compilation of iconic players and coaches from each NFL team.  Some of them are spot on with the player and character depiction.  You’ll enjoy what author Bandit Ref has done with the AFC North in regards to Joe Flacco, Andy Dalton, and Jimmy Haslam of the Browns.  Funny stuff.

So who is Ben Roethlisberger?  Why none other than Bran Stark – the child who breaks his back in the first half of the first book in the series.  If you follow GoT, then you know that Stark didn’t just fall….  However, in Bandit’s version, Bran has now become Ben Roethlistark, who has broken his back while adjusting the dish on his trailer.  There’s your shot at Big Ben’s ‘rough around the edges.’  And you just have to love the gentle embrace of Mike Tomlin…
