Pittsburgh Steelers 2014 Preseason Schedule Announced

The NFL released the dates and opponents for the 2014 NFL Preseason on Wednesday afternoon. Just what every NFL fan waits for. At least you know when the real thing is going to get closer. The regular season schedule is set to be announced later in April but before then here is what you can look forward to when your summer is winding down.
Steelers 2014 Preseason Schedule:
Week 1: @ New York Giants
Week 2: Buffalo Bills
Week 3: @ Philadelphia Eagles
Aug 28: Carolina Panthers
The Steelers will close their preseason against the Carolina Panthers for the 12th consecutive year. It would be Jerricho Cotchery’s first return to Pittsburgh as a Panther, but as the 4th preseason game he’s likely to be wearing his jersey and no pads for that game.
One important thing the Steelers would probably want to accomplish this preseason is winning a game. The Steelers finished the 2013 preseason without winning a single game and as you can probably painfully remember, took that winless streak well into the regular season as well. Winning a game in preseason certainly doesn’t guarantee a successful regular season, but it sure wouldn’t hut.
The NFL Preseason will begin on August 3rd in Canton for the Hall of Fame game featuring the Buffalo Bills against the New York Giants, two teams the Steelers will meet later on in the Preseason.
The Steelers didn’t earn any nationally televised games for the preseason so if you’re out of the area, you might want to find out where you can live-stream the games if you’re that into watching some preseason action.
