Cleveland Browns – #4

Mel and McShay: Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M

Let me start off by saying, I’m a big Johnny Football fan.  I’m not sure he will become a great NFL quarterback but I’ll be rooting for him to succeed.  However if he goes to the Brownies at number four, I think he will be in for a tough career, or at least a tough start.  Sure he would have Josh Gordon to throw to and Joe Thomas to protect him, but what Browns QB has done well in the past decade?  Derek Anderson for a year?  So Browns I beg you, don’t end Johnny’s career before it even starts.

Brooks: Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson

Sammy Watkins going to the Browns makes me a little nervous, more nervous than Johnny anyway.  The comparison of Sammy that I heard and that stuck to my memory, was “a more talented Anquan Boldin”.  I’ve always wished Boldin was a Steeler one day.  Dude is tough plain and simple.  Anyways paring a player like that with Josh Gordon would be nightmare to cover for the next few years.  Sure nobody is in place to throw them the ball but having two stud receivers could make any QB look pretty good.
