Mike Mayock will reveal his first-round mock draft for 2014 on Wednesday night on the NFL Network but he’s already released the first fifteen picks. Lucky for Steelers fans, Pittsburgh has the 15th pick so we got into the preview. Who did Mike Mayock project the Steelers will select at the 15th pick of the draft?

CB Kyle Fuller, Virginia Tech

"“The Steelers need to rebuild at cornerback, and Fuller and his physical style of play are a good fit for coach Mike Tomlin.” – Mike Mayock"

How did he get there? Mayock has some other notable players who others have projected to be taken by the Steelers to already have gone in the earlier picks. He’s got CB Justin Gilbert going at #8 to Minnesota and CB Darqueze Dennard going 10th to Detroit. He also has The New York Giants snagging TE Eric Ebron at the 12th pick and the St. Louis Rams taking WR Odell Beckham at the 13th pick.

He projected no trades so far in the first half of the first round, which kind of makes sense for the Steelers. Colbert said earlier this week that there were about 19 players the team was eyeing with their pick and would only consider trading down when they knew what players they’d be passing up on. With Fuller a high-rated corner still available at 15, the Steelers are sure to stay at that spot and snag themselves a new cornerback. Then again, who’s to say how this thing really is going to play out?

What are your thoughts, Steeler Nation? Do you like Mayock’s projection of the Steelers selecting Kyle Fuller in the first round?
