With the eighth pick in the 2014 NFL Draft and his first pick as the Cleveland Browns General Manager, Ray Farmer and the Cleveland Browns select Justin Gilbert, cornerback, from Oklahoma State University. Gilbert is six feet tall and 202 pounds and has a long frame and good return skills. He is regarded as some experts as the best cornerback in this draft. Opposite Joe Haden, Gilbert may give the Pittsburgh Steelers second and third receivers somebody to worry about in the future.
The Browns traded down from fourth overall for the Buffalo Bills ninth selection and their first and fourth round picks in the 2015 draft. After that they traded that ninth pick and their fifth round selection (145 overall) with the Minnesota Vikings to move up one slot to eighth overall. The Browns are stacking picks in the future and seem to have gotten a viable cornerback to help their defense.
