With the 22nd pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and their second pick of this first round, the Cleveland Browns have selected Johnny Manziel, quarterback from Texas A&M, after trading up with the Philadelphia Eagles for their 26th overall pick and their third round pick (71 overall).
Manziel is perhaps the most exciting quarterback prospect in this draft and should atleast make the Browns interesting next season in their chase of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the rest of the AFC North. He was the first freshman to ever win the Heisman trophy and was a finalist as a redshirt sophomore. He is seen as a playmaker and improvisational player.
The Browns have made three trades in the first round of this draft which shows that new General Manager, Ray Farmer and the Cleveland Browns front office is willing to do what is necessary to get the job done. Will it work out the way they want it to? We will see. They are the Browns after all.
