Round 5: Shaq Richardson, CB, Arizona

Richardson is a 6′ tall corner who played his college football at the university of Arizona.  With the 157th pick there are a lot worse players who could have been added to the franchise.  Richardson is a very raw corner, and he still lacks technique and the necessary tackling skills, but he has the tools that you look for in a corner back to succeed in the future.  He was able to total 189 tackles and 10 interceptions while he was at Arizona.

Round 5 Compensatory Pick: Wesley Johnson, OL, Vanderbilt

Wesley Johnson is a perfect fit along the Steelers offensive line.  He is a very versatile blocker who excels in zone blocking schemes.  He started at all five positions along the offensive line at some point while he was in college.  He is also very similar to Kelvin Beachum at 6’5″ and 297 pounds.  He is a little longer than Beachum, however.  He probably won’t ever be a professional starter, but he should be a very good sixth offensive lineman.
