Steelers season goes all year long so whether we’re breaking down free agency signings, recapping the draft choices, or looking around for mentions of your Black & Gold we’ve got you covered. Here’s what’s being said about your Pittsburgh Steelers around the block.

New Faces

Heath Miller spoke to Teresa Varley about all the changes the Steelers have made this offseason and how those changes are taking shape in OTA’s. Miller is still trying to get back to 100% following a knee injury at the end of the 2012 season that kept him sidelined for the first three games of 2013. He explained how the OTA’s are not only good for players coming back from injuries, but also for the new guys to mesh with the old guys.

"“There are a lot of new faces. These practices are important for a team like ours. Up front on offense we have most of the guys back so that is a good thing. We have some new receivers and running backs so these practices are good for us.” – Heath Miller"

Brett Keisel to return?

ESPN’s Scott Brown is looking into a comment made by Heath Miller with regards to the possibility of a Keisel return to Pittsburgh. Miller reminiscing on playing with older veterans like James Farrior and Aaron Smith, who both played well into their 30s when he mentioned that Brett Keisel was “not here right now” and also played into his 30s. Kind of a stretch, if you ask me, to say that could mean Keisel’s return is imminent. But, Brown makes a good point when he says that Keisel would make an excellent tutor to 2nd-round pick Stephon Tuitt. I just hope if Keisel does return; it’s not to fall into the old habits of veterans keeping the younger players off of the field. If the Steelers drafted Tuitt to be a starting defensive end, he should be a starting defensive end.

Blount feels disrespected

Mark Kaboly of the Trib explains that LeGarrette Blount may already have a chip on his shoulder and something to prove when it comes to the newly formed Steelers LeBackfield. NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks listed what he considers the top 5 backfield duos and left the combo of Bell and Blount off of the list. According to Kaboly, Blount is taking that as a personal slight and is out to prove Brooks and the rest of the league wrong to underestimate them.
