Steelers season goes all year long so whether we’re breaking down draft choices, recapping OTA’s, or looking around for mentions of your Black & Gold we’ve got you covered. Here’s what’s being said about your Pittsburgh Steelers around the block.
All AFC North Team
NFL Network’s Dave Dameshek did a podcast recently where he listed the players for the “All AFC North Team” he was joined by Marc Sessler in helping him pick the players from each of the four teams in the division to make up the ultimate AFC North Roster. He picks mostly Steelers with Ben Roethlisberger getting the start at quarterback, Antonio Brown getting one of the receiving spots opposite Cincinnati’s AJ Green. He also selected Le’Veon Bell as the best running back of the division over Ray Rice or Giovani Bernard.

On defense he goes with Lawrence Timmons to play opposite Vontaze Burfict on the inside. They selected Troy Polamalu as the safety and debated adding Mike Mitchell as well. They eventually went with the Bengals defensive line and ended the segment choosing Mike Tomlin as the coach. It’s a podcast and not an article or list so if you want to check it out, he starts the discussion about 20 minutes in.
Mike Mitchell the new Polamalu?
Speaking of safeties, Kevin Patra of Around the League seems to think that Mike Mitchell has the potential to become the next great safety in Pittsburgh. Mitchell himself is already enjoying being part of the Steelers defense just after a couple of weeks of OTA’s.
"“I can already see LeBeau is using me the way I want to be used. I am getting to play in space a lot and I have also been coming in on some blitzes and timing them up pretty well. I am loving the scheme. I think it fits me great.” – Mike Mitchell"
Team Building
The Steelers took the day for OTA’s on Monday to have a team-building day at Dave & Buster’s where there were arcade games and competitions galore.
