Pittsburgh Steelers 2014: Pro Bowl Prospects

The Pittsburgh Steelers haven’t even played a single snap of training camp let alone the regular season.  But, let’s talk about the Pro Bowl anyways.

The Pro Bowl, or as I like to call it, “The Worst Thing Since The Tucker Telephone,” is a time when the NFL selects the ‘best’ players of the season, and send them off to Hawaii for a week of fun in the sun… oh and there’s something that happens in a stadium that slightly resembles a football game.  It’s often a time when those who performed outstandingly are awarded and those who performed even better are left scratching their heads as to why they were snubbed.

So, let’s take a look at some potential Pro-Bowl’ers for the 2014 season:

1. Antonio Brown

Mr. #25 of the Top 100 Brown just came off of his best season as a Steeler in 2013, and was named to his second Pro Bowl in 2013.  Brown will be looking to build off of his 110 receptions and almost 1,500 yards gained.  As the offense seems to settle more and more into Todd Haley’s scheme and utilize the no-huddle more often, Brown should only benefit as the season wears on.  If the Steelers offense can utilize a tall and fast wide out opposite of Brown on the field, then he will only benefit more to less safety help over the middle of the field.  I expect Brown to have another great season, and one of the better in the league.

Status: Pro Bowl Bound.
