The stalwart inside linebacker for the Steelers has fallen under the radar time and time again when it comes to Pro Bowl selections.  Last year, Timmons was beat out by rival linebacker Vontaze Burfict of the Cincy Bungles,  Patrick Willis and NaVorro Bowman of the 49’ers, and Luke Kuechly, of the Panters.  There’s some talent, no doubt, but Timmons could have squeezed his way into this mix with the stats and efforts he put up over the season.  Timmons quietly puts up impressive numbers – 100+ total tackles three of the last four seasons with a smattering of forced fumbles and interceptions.  I expect much of the same in the way of performance and Pro Bowl voting outcome for Timmons in 2014.  Eh well.  I’m sure he can afford to fly out there on his own dime if he wants to spend a week in Hawaii.
