Training camp begins in just a few short weeks, and the start of the season is less than two months away.  The Steelers have undergone quite a bit of change over the last five months.  What can we expect from the team and the players on an individual basis?  Let’s break’em down.

Offensive Guards

AKA – The Revolving Door.  As a note, Guy Whimper will not be a part of this list as his role will be shifted to OT backup per  Mike Munchak stating he is the ‘fourth guy’ when it comes to the Tackles.

Ramon Foster

LG, Exp. 5yrs.

Ramon Foster, aka The Big Ragu, is coming into his sixth season – all of them with the Steelers. Since 2011, Foster has been the mainstay at left guard. Out of a potential 48 games to play in those three years, Ragu has played in 46 and started in 45. He’s one of the healthiest linemen (KNOCKING ON WOOD!!!!) the Steelers have had in the last three years.  He’s also been one of the more consistent linemen of the group with solid run blocking and pass protection.  The expectations have not lowered for this season, and Foster should only elevate his game under new O-line coach Mike Munchak’s tutelage.  Another healthy season will mean 16 more games and 16 more starts for the quiet Foster.
