The editors of FanSided are collaborating to form a an All-Division tournament between all the divisions in the NFL. The editors of Nice Pick Cowher, Ebony Bird, Dawg Pound Daily, and Stripe Hype have come to together and selected an all-division squad for the AFC North – starting with the offensive side of the football.
It was a surprisingly easy consensus with most of the positions. Many were unanimous, some were a majority selection, and only one had to turn to our readers voting for the final decision. The Browns and Bengals have two of the strongest offensive lines in the league, and it certainly shows in the results below.
AFC North All-Division Offense
Some things to make note of. Ben Roethlisberger was unanimous between all editors, which to me certainly drew a line in the sand that this was going to be about more of a full body of work and less about a ‘what have you done for me lately,’ which easily could have gone to Flacco being the latest Super Bowl winning QB from this division. Andrew Whitworth, though usually a tackle, had one heck of a season at LG and outplayed everyone in that position throughout the rest of the division, so most of the writers had Whitworth listed as a guard.
Other unanimous vote getters: Joe Thomas, Alex Mack, and Andre Smith.
So who of the Steelers were selected but not on the list? Antonio Brown and Heath Miller were two names that popped up in the votes. Brown almost squeaked by Torrey Smith and I was the only one who put Heath Miller above Cameron. All in all a very solid list, and I would not want to be a defense facing that offense, regular season or playoffs. What do all of you think of this list?
Stay tuned for the All-AFCN Defense. Who will get in who’s a Steeler? Polamalu? Taylor? Timmons? Be sure to come back and check out the final decisions on the defense – there may even be a poll or two to determine outcomes.
