Steelers season goes all year long so whether we’re previewing training camp, predicting roster moves, or looking around for mentions of your Black & Gold we’ve got you covered. Here’s what’s being said about your Pittsburgh Steelers around the block.
Steelers wide receiver’s coach Richard Mann spoke to the Steelers website about his group and where they are at this point going into training camp. The position group is one of the most talked about units on the team as the key departures of Emmanuel Sanders and Jerricho Cotchery have left some big question marks for the group. From what Mann has seen out of free agency addition Lance Moore, he thinks the voids can be filled.
“What he (Lance Moore) can do, and from what I’ve seen so far, he can probably fill the void that we had after losing Jerricho Cotchery. We have a couple of other guys we are looking at (in that role). We might have to jerry-rig a few things to get the blocking aspect of it, but as far as the passing game, I think we are going to be fine.” – Richard Mann
AFC North in 4 downs
The bloggers for ESPN from all of the AFC North division teams each got together and answered some “fact or fiction” on popular topics for each of the teams heading into the season. The group all seemed to unanimously agree that Johnny Manziel will not be starting for the Browns in Week 1 against the Steelers. Boo.
