Steelers back to work in Latrobe

The Steelers returned to practice at Saint Vincent College on Monday afternoon following their Saturday night preseason loss to the New York Giants. According to Teresa Varley, Steelers coach Mike Tomlin thinks a good day of work was put in by the guys on the field. Ryan Shazier returned to practice but only did individual work as Sean Spence got the first team reps. The Steelers will have a few joint practices this week with the Buffalo Bills before their preseason game this Saturday and while roster cuts are still a couple of weeks away, this game should separate some guys from the pack in terms of making the roster.

Day 12 Steelers Camp Report

In ESPN’s Scott Brown’s daily training camp report he explains that Steelers defensive end Cameron Heyward carried his frustrations of allowing the 73-yard touchdown run by Rashad Jennings in the preseason opener into practice on Monday. Heyward practiced angry as he blames himself for losing his gap integrity on the play.
