The Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Philadelphia Eagles in preseason game number 3 on Thursday night in an intrastate battle.  The Eagles are 0-2 and appear to be still finding their way in what this Chip Kelly offense will look like in his second year as head coach.  The Steelers are 1-1 and are coming off a win that had a bit of the theatrics late in the second half against the Bills.

The recent arrests of Steelers running backs Le’Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount will be on the minds and the talk of broadcasters throughout the night.  How will those two backs respond to their rather large hit to character?  The Steelers have some work to do in that department, but for now, they are concentrating on getting this team ready for the regular season (with or without their top two running backs).

The Steelers will also be praying for a miracle with the improvement of their backup QB play.  Gradkowski has struggled all preseason with very little in the way of flashes of consistency.  Landry Jones has been absolutely horrid the last three weeks.  Many are calling for his removal, but the team would have to find a replacement quickly.  There’s an added prayer that Big Ben stays healthy all season long so that we don’t have to worry about it.  Right?  RIGHT?!?!
