Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Carolina Panthers: Final Injury Report

facebooktwitterreddit

Here is the final Pittsburgh Steelers injury report for their week three game against the Carolina Panthers.

For the second straight week the Steelers will be without Dri Archer due to an ankle injury suffered in week one.  The offense will also be without guard Ramon Foster, who was listed on the injury report as questionable with an ankle injury.  No Foster in the lineup mean Cody Wallace will likely be plugged in at left guard.

For the first time this season Lance Moore (groin) will be active.  With Moore and Darrius Heyward-Bey active, rookie wide receiver Martavis Bryant will have to wait at least one more week to make his NFL debut.

Other players inactive for the Steelers are quarterback Landry Jones, defensive tackle Daniel McCullers, offensive lineman Wesley Johnson, and cornerback B.W. Webb.

As for the Panthers, Greg Hardy will be out for the defense as he was placed on the exempt list until his legal issues are resolved.  The Panthers offense will have two players listed as questionable with thigh injuries active.  Wide receiver Jason Avant and former Steelers wideout Jerricho Cotchery will play tonight.

Running backs DeAngelo Williams and Fozzy Whittaker are both inactive. Williams is out after being listed as questionable and Whittaker is out after being listed as doubtful due to a thigh injury.  The loss of two running backs means Jonathan Stewart will receive the majority of the carries. Other inactive Panthers include quarterback Joe Webb, tackle David Foucault, and safety Tre Boston.

Enjoy the game. Go Steelers.
