Pittsburgh Steelers Sign James Harrison

Well the speculation didn’t really last long at all. After posting a video on Facebook asking his kids if they would want him to play football again, specifically with the Pittsburgh Steelers, WPXI in Pittsburgh is reporting that the linebacker signed with the team Tuesday morning and will suit up this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Then, of course, straight from the man himself, James Harrison posts a picture of himself signing the contract to return to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The terms of the deal are not yet disclosed. Might be a scooch awkward for Harrison to return to the NFL after taking shots at Roger Goodell following the crap-storm scandal the league is currently in, but, then again, Harrison is no stranger to being at odds with Goodell.

The team is no longer depleted at the linebacker position. The team will most likely start Arthur Moats in replace of Jarvis Jones, who was placed on the injured reserve-to return list. Jones will be out for a minimum of eight weeks. There is only one player who can be designated to return from injured reserve per team.

James Harrison officially retired on Sept. 5th at Steelers headquarters but will be taking the field once again in Black & Gold this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Something tells me that Daniel McCullers, the rookie NT who is currently wearing No. 92 will be wearing a different jersey very soon.
