Bee Tries To Nest In Pittsburgh Steelers Brett Keisel’s Beard

Who doesn’t love themselves some Pittsburgh Steelers Brett Keisel and The Beard?  Keisel’s Beard has been nothing short of epic for many years now.  He’s become so popular with it, that he grows it year round, even during the summer months, so that he can hold a fundraiser just to shave it off.  In fact, the beard is so popular even animals or insects want in on the action.

During the Steelers #SteelersVideoMailbag session they have on their website, Brett Keisel was the man asked to answer numerous questions from Steelers fan’s video questions.  You can see the full video here.  During the first question, a bee swarms around Keisel.  The veteran defensive end tries to swat and bat away the bee, but it’s a persistent little bugger.

After several attempts at swatting the bee, Keisel quipped, “This bee’s a clown that’s tryin’ to get me.  Come on!  It’s trying to nest in my beard!”  It is an exquisite thing that beard.  Perhaps the bee was indeed trying to nest in Brett Keisel’s beard.  Quite frankly, I’m surprised that during the beard shaving event every year we don’t find animals that have been nesting quietly in hibernation for 3 months during the winter – like birds, chipmunks, or other small woodland creatures.

Bees are probably unwanted guests, so it’s a good thing that the bee was not successful in becoming a beard squatter.

If you keep watching the video, Keisel gets photo bombed by teammate Troy Polamalu and head coach Mike Tomlin.  That’s fairly amusing too, and I’m sure once Keisel sees the tape, he’ll find some way to get both of them back.
