Special Teams has been special

The Pittsburgh Steelers special teams have been special in a good way so far this season. As Bob Labriola points out; through the first three games of the season special teams has executed a fake punt, turned a short field goal attempt into a touchdown by drawing an offsides penalty, and scored a touchdown on a forced fumble. Not to mention Shaun Suisham’s consistency and the fact that Brad Wing doesn’t seem to be kicking any “junior varsity punts” this is a special unit in deed compared to last year.

Doug Martin to return for Bucs

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are expecting running back Doug Martin to return to action this Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers. According to ESPN Buccaneer’s reporter Pat Yasinskas, Martin has returned to practice this week after missing the previous two games with a knee injury. Doug Martin rushed for over 1,400 yards in his rookie season in 2012 and missed the majority of 2013 with an injury. The Steelers weren’t tested much against the run last week versus Carolina so this could be a chance to really prove they can stuff the run with Martin returning to the lineup for Tampa Bay.

Steelers top ranked fantasy players

NFL Media writer Alex Gelhar released the top 25 fantasy players for Week 4 and two Pittsburgh Steelers landed on the list. Running back Le’Veon Bell is rated as the fourth best fantasy player in the league with 315 rushing yards through three games. Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown is Gelhar’s seventh ranked fantasy player with 296 receiving yards and three touchdowns so far.
