Pittsburgh Steelers Week 4 Winners and Losers

facebooktwitterreddit

Absolutely embarrassing outing for the Pittsburgh Steelers this past weekend. The defense did not do its job and even though it has the looks of a complete overhaul from previous seasons, it may be in need of another one. Unless you’re in the winners column, you were a loser, but we will only look at the big losers of the game.

Winners

Antonio Brown

The only thing Antonio Brown did was catch touchdowns and break records on Sunday. He is proving his worth as one of the best, if not the best wide receiver in the league right now. One of the few bright spots for the Steelers.

Le’Veon Bell

Although he didn’t run for 100 yards on Sunday, he still proved his value in the offense. Had a solid day in the passing game and came up with a huge 1st down scramble after a third and long later in the game.

Heath Miller

Miller had the best game of the season with 10 receptions for 85 yards and a touchdown.

Losers

Offensive Line

5 sacks in a half just won’t cut it. Kelvin Beachum is also the biggest loser on the offensive line, giving up 2 sacks and struggled the entire game.

Cortez Allen

Boy had Cortez had a rough, rough season. It seems like he is in the losers column every week. He consistently was beat in the passing game and gave up a touchdown early in the game. Very, very disappointing for Cortez so far and his contract extension is starting to look like a big mistake.

Brad Wing

I have been a huge supporter of Brad Wing throughout the season so far, and he has given me the right to do so with a very consistent season so far, but his first bad punt struck at the worst of times. Giving the Bucs back the ball with less than a minute left in the game and 0 timeouts, Wing had a 36 yard punt that gave them starting field position just inside the 50. He couldn’t get the job done in the most pressured moment of his young career so far.

Like I said, embarrassing, but tomorrow is a new day and hey, at least we aren’t 0-4 like last year. Let me know what you think about the article by leaving a comment.
