Wheaton limited in practice

Steelers second-year wide receiver Markus Wheaton has been a pleasant (I wouldn’t say surprise because a lot was expected of him) contributor to the offense so far this season. According to ESPN Steelers reporter Scott Brown, Wheaton was limited in practice for the second straight day on Thursday with a groin injury. A groin injury limited wide receiver Lance Moore in the preseason and kept him inactive through the first two games of the season and it’s been a slow process getting him back in but Wheaton’s injury doesn’t appear to be as severe.

Second-half woes

You can’t say that Mike Tomlin hasn’t had the Steelers ready to play this season, says PPG’s Ray Fittipaldo. Well, I hear that criticism a lot but then again some Steelers fans aren’t exactly known for being the most accurate with their criticisms. Anyway, the Steelers are outscoring their opponents 56-26 so far in the first half through four games. Problem is, aside from one complete performance in Carolina, they’ve collectively crapped the bed in the second half of the rest of the games. The Steelers’ opponents are outscoring them and raking up the majority of their offensive yards against them in the second half so far. Perhaps a new halftime speech is in order?

Steelers fans in Jax

You know the Steelers travel well right? Or it could be that just there are a lot of Steelers fans in Florida who are buying up tickets to the game making the Jags game, a game typically no one really wants to buy tickets for or go see in person, a hot ticket in town. You’re welcome, city of Jacksonville.
