Pittsburgh Steelers versus Browns: Kickoff, TV, Radio

facebooktwitterreddit

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a close win against a team they down right should have annihilated last Sunday down in Jacksonville.  Now the Steelers find themselves with an even spread (at one point they were two point underdogs)  against a Browns team that has become confident and dangerous.  This will be far from an easy game, something Steeler fans have become accustomed to when the Steelers line up against the Brownies.  It’s sure to be loud in the Dog Pound, and even if the Steelers find themselves up two touchdowns, the Cleveland faithful have hope (and recent history) on their side.  Hopefully the Steelers can escape this renewed hostile territory with a win before they go get ready for a Monday night contest against a tough Texans squad.

The game will be broadcasted on CBS’s early set.  The viewing area is expanded this week and stretches all the way down into Virginia and the Carolinas.  The majority of the nation gets to put up with more Pey Pey with the Broncos destroying the Jets Sunday afternoon.  The guys in the booth for the Steeler game are Greg Gumbel and Trent Green.  Gumbel is a seasoned veteran play by play who brings excitement to plays on both sides of the ball.  The former pro bowl quarterback is more palpable than most of his other color commentary coworkers, so Trent Green shouldn’t get on anyones nerves too much.  They are the best pair CBS has to offer in my opinion over the A-gamers of Phil Simms and Jim Nantz.  As always, you can choose to mute and head over to DVE and listen to Billy and the boys have more in depth analysis of the Steelers during the game.
